Youth Group
The teen years are often a time of questioning and testing what you believe and why you believe it. Whether you were raised in a Christian family or have never set foot in a church, our junior and senior high youth groups offer a safe place to ask questions and to find answers in God's word.
As with all ministries at Christ Memorial, our youth groups are gospel driven. From ultimate Frisbee to weekly Bible discussions to the annual Youth Retreat, our desire is for each teen to encounter the gospel of Jesus Christ through our words and our lives, and to find real gospel life. Each weekly gathering, led by Youth Pastor Steve Thiel and a team of committed adults, is a time of games and food, talking and listening, focused around a growing understanding of who we are and who Christ is. This year we'll be asking where our lives fit into God's story.
For those who want to go deeper, the Leadership Development Team (LDT), open to all high school students, meets bi-weekly following the Sunday worship service. The Student Ministry Team (SMT) mentors selected teens who want to grow in their faith, be students of the Word, and leaders among their peers.
Junior High Youth Group meets alternate Fridays during the school year from 6:00-8:00pm in the Youth Room.
