When the real gospel community gathers, it’s a glorious, heartfelt time of praising God.
On Sunday mornings we at Christ Memorial come together to worship God through gospel-driven singing, sharing and preaching, and through the sacraments (Acts 2:42, Col. 3:16). We teach the scriptures so that the mind and heart are moved to worship God – to more deeply love, adore, and obey the Lord Jesus Christ (Deut. 6:4-6; I Pet. 1:3-12). We encourage and build one another up by sharing what God is doing in our own lives, by praying together, and by speaking truth into one another’s lives (Heb. 10:24-25). This is true worship, as each exercises his gifts (I Cor. 12:4-6) and presents himself as a living sacrifice (Rom. 12:1-2).
The desire to see the worship of God fill the earth promotes real gospel mission.
