WES PASTOR, SENIOR MINISTER
Wes is the founder and senior minister of Christ Memorial. After graduating from Ohio State, he earned an MBA from Miami University, Ohio, then taught accounting at the college level. He began his pastoral studies in 1985 at Dallas Theological Seminary, ultimately receiving his MAR in Theology from Westminster Theological Seminary in 1990. The following year, Wes, his wife, Sue, and their young family moved to Vermont with a vision for spreading the gospel by planting gospel-preaching churches. CMC was born of that vision, and Wes has been senior minister here from the start in 1992. Less than a decade later, Wes launched The NETS Institute for Church Planting (NETS)
, a church planter training center, where he continues to serve as president. In 2010 Wes earned an M.Th. in biblical theology from the University of Wales. Wes is an adjunct professor at Redeemer Theological Seminary and has taught classes at Westminster (Philadelphia) and Wales Evangelical School of Theology. He is also an occasional blogger for The Gospel Coalition
. Wes and Sue have raised five children, with the oldest three married and the youngest in college. They keep busy ministering to the body at CMC and rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes.
